How Urolithin A works

Urolithin A supports healthy aging through a distinctive dual mechanism.
Urolithin A activates the PINK1–Parkin pathway to selectively identify and remove damaged or dysfunctional mitochondria. By promoting mitochondrial quality control and reducing the accumulation of dysfunctional organelles, it helps maintain a healthier cellular environment and supports long-term cellular function.
In parallel with mitophagy, urolithin A promotes mitochondrial biogenesis—the generation of new, functional mitochondria. This coordinated "remove and renew" process helps restore mitochondrial function and support efficient energy metabolism, contributing to healthy aging and physical vitality.

Why Cocrysta®

Dietary ellagitannins require conversion by specific gut microbiota before becoming bioactive urolithin A. However, only ~40% of people can efficiently produce urolithin A, and this capacity declines with age. In addition, conventional urolithin A has poor solubility and low bioavailability, limiting systemic exposure. Cocrysta® Urolithin A, powered by cocrystal engineering, overcomes these limitations by significantly enhancing gastrointestinal dissolution, delivering 12× higher Cmax, and improved muscle and brain distribution.
